How can HIFU vaginal tightening help?

HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to heat and tighten the tissues in the vagina. The procedure works by using ultrasound waves to penetrate the vaginal tissues at a specific depth, causing the tissue to heat up and stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

The heat generated by HIFU treatment stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that is essential for skin and tissue elasticity. Collagen helps to restore the structure and firmness of the vaginal tissues, which can become lax or loose due to ageing, childbirth, or other factors.

During the procedure, a small handheld device is used to deliver the focused ultrasound energy to the vaginal tissues. The device emits high-frequency sound waves that are directed at the targeted tissues, causing them to heat up and tighten. Most patients experience little to no discomfort.

HIFU treatment has been shown to be safe and effective for vaginal tightening, with minimal side effects and a low risk of complications. However, it is important to note that the results of the procedure may vary from person to person, and some women may require multiple treatments to achieve their desired level of vaginal tightness.

Frequently asked questions about HIFU vaginal tightening:
What is HIFU treatment, and how does it work to tighten the vagina?

HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy that uses ultrasound waves to stimulate the body’s natural collagen producing response. As the body produces new collagen, the tissues shorten and tighten the muscles.

Is HIFU treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used during the procedure?

Clients experience no or minimal discomfort during the treatment and no anaesthesia is required.

How long does the HIFU treatment take, and is it a one-time procedure or a series of treatments?

A treatment session is typically 1h30 minutes and depending on the outcome required, 3 sessions are required, 2 to 3 months apart.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with HIFU treatment for vaginal tightening?

It’s a very safe treatment with no downtime or bleeding.

How soon after the procedure can I resume sexual activity?

You should avoid having sexual relations for 3 days after the treatment. It is recommended to refrain from very heavy exercise for a day or two.

How long will the effects of HIFU treatment last, and will I need to have the procedure repeated?

The treatment can last up to 5 years after which it is recommended to have a follow-up cycle of treatments

Can HIFU treatment be combined with other vaginal rejuvenation procedures, such as laser therapy or radiofrequency treatment?

What is the recovery process like after HIFU treatment, and are there any restrictions on activities?

There will be no pain after the procedure. The client can go back to work activities immediately, however it is recommended to refrain from sexual and heavy exercise activity for 3 days after the treatment.

How do I know if HIFU treatment is right for me?

The treatment is ideal for women who have given natural birth and the vagina suffered because of the birth process. Women that experience problems with leaking during exercise, sneezing or coughing. And menopausal women that experience dryness and want to stimulate their hormones naturally without HRT and the risks and side-effects. A tighter vagina also enhances sexual pleasure.

What should I expect during the consultation process with the therapist?

During your free discovery phone call the therapist will ask questions to ascertain exactly if and how this treatment will benefit you and how many sessions will be recommended. The procedure and costs will be discussed as well as before and after care protocols.

Laser Vaginal Tightening vs HIFU Vaginal Tightening

and why HIFU is the best vaginal tightening to consider.

Laser vaginal tightening is a method that uses laser pulses to perforate the skin signalling the surrounding area to “repair itself” or become “tighter”. With the laser treatment, the head of the laser must be placed inside the vagina, which is typically more painful than using HIFU since HIFU is mainly used to lift and tone the outside surface of the vagina (the labia majora and minora). The laser treatment is typically a quicker treatment process, since it cannot be used to treat the outside of the vagina, with most patients requiring 3-4 sessions between 1 month intervals.

The laser treatment requires up to 3 days of recovery and downtime in comparison to using HIFU, which has no down time and patients can resume sexual activity the
